Follow the Cones: Access Information for the Landfill During Construction

New scales construction will begin Monday, August 30, at the Larimer County Landfill on Taft Hill Road and is expected to take two months to complete. Traffic will be rerouted to the various service areas onsite. Construction updates will be provided periodically. Temporary gatehouses have been installed. Minimal disruption of traffic flow and services is expected.

The regional Food System Assessment Project is a collaboration between Larimer, Boulder, and Weld Counties. This group is looking at how well our regional food system works. Final public meeting for your input on Sept. 2. For details please visit the web site.
Free Firewood Program Opens to the Public

The Department of Natural Resources’ Free Firewood Program is now open for reservations. Individuals wishing to participate must be able to cut downed logs to the lengths they want, load the wood on their trucks, and assist in loading all trucks in the group. Firewood will be available for pickup on weekends August 21 through October 10, weather permitting.
